In a dramatic ending, the London Hawk Lords staged a comeback win over the
Tampico Stogies by the count of 7 to 6.
London won the game with a rally in the 9th inning as they scored 6 runs on 5
base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Carlos Pena who made the crowd
happy when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. Both teams finished the
game with 11 hits.
Ben Hendrickson(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and
allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Jason Frasor(0-1) in relief.
'We just wouldn't give up,' Cristian Guzman said. 'Much of the credit goes to
our fans - they were with us the whole way.'
